QUEENSBURY, New York (Sept. 6, 2022) — Nothing tastes sweeter than success! and Stewart’s Shops join forces to celebrate a new academic year with the retail chain’s unveiling of ’s Sweet Success at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, on the college’s Queensbury campus.

Sweet Success — Stewart’s Shops’ smooth vanilla ice cream base jam-packed with peanut butter cup pieces, smooth peanut butter and swirls of smooth fudge — is available for a limited time at Stewart’s Shop locations at the following locations: 

  • Shop 415 — 1002 Route 9, Queensbury, NY 12804

  • Shop 458 — 1433 State Route 9, Queensbury, NY 12804

  • Shop 396 — 402 Bay Road, Queensbury, NY 12804 

  • Shop 246 — 227 Ballard Road, Gansevoort, NY 12831

  • Shop 444 — 445 Northern Pines Road, Wilton, NY 12831 

  • Shop 314 — 4208 State Route 50, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866

“We can’t think of a better way to welcome back students than with Stewart’s ice cream, appropriately named Sweet Success,” said Gary Dake, Stewart’s president. 

A kickoff celebration will be held on the first day of classes for the Fall 2022 semester in front of the Student Center.

“We are excited to offer students a taste of Sweet Success on their first day of classes this academic year,” said Kristine D. Duffy, Ed.D., president of . “Stewart’s Shops and the Dake family are longtime supporters of the college, so being able to collaborate on this delicious endeavor is a lot of fun as we welcome back the campus community.”

Stewart’s Shop and The Dake Family, a fund of The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region, have given the college much to celebrate. As the college’s largest corporate sponsor, the organizations have given just less than $400,000 to support various efforts, including the Reach New Heights campaign; the Regional Higher Education Center; help providing access scholarships for community youth participating in ’s Summer Enrichment Program; and, most recently, $75,000 in support of the college’s $5.7 million turf field project, which includes dugouts, bleachers, and a press box and a scoreboard.

The athletics field project is also supported by Foundation; the state; Adirondack Housing Association, which owns and operates the college’s Residence Hall; Faculty Student Association; and through donations.
